Being a fat Private Tour Guide I often feel I have to live up to expectations and I get a lot of requests from my guests to partake in the what is seemingly the holy grail of comfort food in Hong Kong, the egg tart
This is my Hong Kong | Egg Tarts and yes in my humble opinion, the best are from the Tai Cheong Bakery.
To be honest, I do not mind stopping and scoffing a couple of egg tarts, I am all about custard and they are very nice…. there is always a huge debate here about who makes the best, it something me and my friends can never agree on as we all have our favourite places…
Personally and repeating what I mentioned above I am very partial to those from the Tai Cheong Bakery and yes, this was the place that the last British Governor Chris Patten put on the map and it must be said that a lot of our lifestyle and food related publications also rate Tai Cheong tarts as being one of the best.
At the end of the day food is very subjective suffice to say that most of the ones I have eaten in Hong Kong have been pretty good.

Mott 32 Lobster Soup Dumpling
I would much rather go to Mott 32 in Central and have one (or two) of the rather fabulous lobster soup dumplings, they are huge!! to me they are a 10 / 10 on the scoffability stakes!!
