The Avenue of the Stars, Hong Kong which closed in 2015 for renovation is now, finally going to re-open in late January 2019 and about time as well!
Essentially they completely demolished the old one and it has been totally rebuilt and I have to say that from what I have seen they have done a terrific job (it has been redeveloped by a private company) and I am so looking forward to when it re-opens.
… and yes, it was always a bit cheesy and it has always been a hit with the young Instagram mobs and it will be undoubtedly overrun by mobs of suitcase toting Mainland Chinese Tourists but for me the best part of the Avenue of the Stars was never the Bruce Lee statue (seen in the image under wraps) but the quite remarkable views you get of the harbour and Hong Kong Island…. oh my.
Watch this space as I will be posting new images after it opens again.

The Golden Koi at the Po Lin Monastery at the Big Buddha on Lantau Island
Oh my gosh, look at this fish, talk about lucky!! I have never seen a Koi like this one, it actually looks like it has pure gold scales stitched onto it’s back…. naturally I had to touch it as it will no doubt bring me good luck for the next 10,000 years.
Luckily the fish is in a pond which is not easy to find at the Monastery as I am quite sure someone would come up with a cunning plan to steal it….

Recently whilst I was at the Peak I noticed this rather bizarre thing, a large snubnosed golden monkey climbing a new commercial building on Hollywood Road.
It is supposed to show the balance between the environment and urbanisation, which to me is just nonsensical guff, it is simply a very cool way of putting the building on the map and ensuring 100% occupancy!

Oh my golly gosh, the simply amazing Pagani Zonda Absolute - this is a custom made car and is rumoured to be the only one of it's kind in the world and it is in Hong Kong!... oh... and yes, this is my picture, talk about being in the right place at the right time.
