Another year, another award (!)
A great big thank you to all of my lovely clients that wrote a review on Tripadvisor throughout 2018 and early 2019, this means I have now received the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence 8 years in a row from 2012 to 2019….
A special mention to Craig and Deb in Australia… love you guys!
Not bad for ONE Private Tour Guide competing against many much bigger companies many whom have multiple guides.
…and I am absolutely thrilled to have received TWO Tripadvisor Hall of Fame Certificates in a row as well
…. but most of all I am astounded that I have actually reached 800 reviews on Tripadvisor, it is a shame that in early 2018 that Tripadvisor changed their algorithm to give primacy to new companies rather then consistently great companies that have been around a long time so after 7 years of being ranked in the top 3 I have dropped 12 ranking places in a year to newer companies, some of whom have just 100 reviews!! it absolutely sucks!!
Still, I like a challenge and you never know Tripadvisor might change their algorithm again!
So a big thank you to | Lorie (the wife) our boys Jordan, Jacob and Jack, my Mum and Dad and my great friends, Amy, Laura, Bill, Jacky, Mandy, Virginia, Apple, Ski, Nadia, Ashley, Lorena, the other Ashley, Michael, Stephen and Alex for their brilliant support over the years.
oh…. and a special mention to my great friend Dicky who sadly is now in the UK but whose advice and encouragement was so important to me in the early years of my being a Private Tour Guide and a final thank you to Jason Wordie whose knowledge of Hong Kong is unparalleled and who is a great inspiration to me.
