You do not actually see many beggars in Hong Kong, some utterly pointless Guinness Book of World Records - Hong Kong records and our super efficient Emergency Services.
As you know I spend a fair bit of time photographing cars and I like taking pictures of our Police vehicles - only when I view the images later do I realise that Policemen are NEVER off duty, they are always staring at me and working out if there is any danger to them or the public and I certainly fit their definition of a shifty bugger!
For me the Hong Kong Police Force has to be one of the finest in the world and they always have a visible presence on the streets.
Missing a few limbs is a definite USP (unique selling point) for beggars in Hong Kong. I have noticed we have a lot less of them these days and it has to be said that most of them are professionals and come in from Mainland China.
When I was a kid I used to look forward to getting my Guinness Book of World Records, it actually meant something - these days, well see for yourself, completely, totally and utterly pointless, only in Hong Kong!
The Emergency Services in Hong Kong do an outstanding job despite having to put up with some terrible traffic jams
Spend 30 minutes car spotting (of course the right spot is imperative) here and you will be simply amazed at the sheer volume of European cars on the road here, Hong Kongers really love their fancy cars.
I am becoming a bit of a tourist bus spotter, it is nice to record peoples faces as they trundle around Hong Kong seeing the sights.
