Part 2 of this wonderful place - changes are afoot.... new statues, new buildings and more tolerance to photography, this is a must visit place.
The more times I go the more I love this place despite the 423 steps you have to negotiate which in our summer can be simply horrible.. but it is worth it.
The big change I noticed this time around is that they have removed the rather silly "no photographs" signs, to be honest the only reason to visit this place is to take photographs! It is NOT a working monastery and is run by lay people.
