Tours in Hong Kong | The 10,000 Buddha Monastery in Hong Kong

Death of a pig in Wanchai Market, I will never complain about steps again (well, actually I will!) and Temple Street in the early morning.

Mummified remains..... yeah right.

I was at the 10,000 Buddha Monastery in Shatin today and as usual I hated the bloody 423 steps, it was 28oC and 98% humidity, raining and we got accosted by the fake monks, saw the wild monkeys and had a ball.

Since I was last there a month or so ago, they have taken down the silly "do not photograph" signs, added new statues, cleaned the place up so it is well worth another visit if you have not been for a while...

I love this place.

Not very happy pigs

Not very happy pigs

If you are squeamish then you would not want to be eyeballing these ex -pigs at 7.30am in the morning.

Not in this lifetime or the next

I spotted this poster for some exotic location in China and boy, I would not want to walk up those steps, I whinge about steps in Hong Kong but they are not a patch on these.

I was lurking around Temple Street at 6.30am this morning and it was quite interesting in a "downtrodden neighbourhood" sort of way, it is most certainly more interesting at night.

Wow!

Wow!

The quite stunning Audi R8 although I am not a fan of the two tone colour at the back

A very large tug

A very large tug

I can't say I have ever seen a tug as big as this next to the Star Ferry Pier before, it dropped off a dodgy looking bloke and left.

No prizes for guessing who
