Not as bad as you might think, the highlight is the Bruce Lee Statue, you might recognise some of the "stars" and you do get some magnificent views of Hong Kong Island
Very touristy but honestly it is not as bad as people say
As long as you have low expectations the Avenue of Stars is worth your time, particularly on a sunny day...
First up, this is not as good as the Hollywood Walk of Fame but then again how could it be? our version is based on Hong Kong / Chinese Movie Stars / Directors and unless you are a real fan only a handful will be known to you.
I do the walk every week but my needs are different, I love the views of Hong Kong Island you can get on the Avenue of Stars, on a sunny, dry day they make your spine tingle.
These days the crowds start arriving at 8.30am and it can get very busy but it is fun watching the Mainland Chinese Tourists really embrace the experience!
... oh, did I mention the Bruce Lee statue? Bruce Lee is a genuine Hong Kong legend so get your picture taken next to the Statue.
So, on with the show!!
The Intercontinental Hotel is on the left
It can be hard work on a hot, humid, sunny day
The gift shops are a waste of time
It can get get pretty busy early in the morning
Oh my....
Spine tingling views
Who ever designed these food kiosks should be publicly humiliated!
That's better
Looks good in black and white as well
From a distance he looks real
Note the arty image on my part
The gold pig cartoon character is by all accounts famous and legendary in Hong Kong, could have fooled me.
This is early in the morning, imagine the afternoon crowds
You can always count on there being a Starbucks around
If the mood takes you, keep walking, you can walk along the promenade for miles
