The Opus - where the really rich folk live, Hong Kong by night and a rather lovely Aston Martin
You have arrived in Hong Kong, you might be a busy executive with time to kill before a big dinner (or the next meeting!) you might be a couple who, guidebook in hand feel a bit overwhelmed, what to do, how to do it...
If you are looking for a private tour guide at the last minute then simply click on the link "book a tour" and check my availability on my calendar and then call or email.. I may well be available. I quite often get bookings 24 hours prior to the day of the tour and I even get bookings with 2 hours notice. I often do 2 tours in a day so don't be put off if my calendar says I have a booking.
This is the Opus, this is where the really rich folk live. You can buy one of the 6,900 sqft apartments for anywhere from US$50 Million to US$65 Million or rent one at the staggering rent of about US$120,000 per month (did I mention this is where the really rich folk live?)
This is a Frank Gehry project, Frank is a famous Canadian architect who lives in the USA, hence the somewhat odd design.. the building is located on Stubbs Road on the way to the Peak on Hong Kong Island, the views are not bad but not that special either but hey, that's splitting hairs.. this is my sort of place.
Check out the official web site.
I love this image, this sort of quality is a bit beyond my point and shoot Olympus but I can dream... this is a shot of Hong Kong Island at night taken from TST, Kowloon.
What a gorgeous car and if I actually drove a car this would be in my 28 car collection, I would probably take it out on a Tuesday. Yahoo.
I took this image today, absolutely iconic and an absolute must do. The Star Ferry and I would always suggest you travel on the lower deck, the open air, the smell of engine oil and crusty sailors beckon.
