Bentley cars in Hong Kong
This is about the Bentley Bentayga, one specific model in the Bentley Range.
For me it all started on June 26th 2016 when I saw the car above being driven somewhat regally by a lovely young lady and all I could say was gosh. It is a lovely SUV even though to some extent it looks like the Audi Q7 (Bentley is owned by Audi) but when you see it up close or sit in it, you know it is on a different level.
The one thing a visitor to Hong Kong notices very quickly is the sheer abundance of fancy cars in Hong Kong, it is culture 101, one of the easiest ways to show wealth (or more importantly the illusion of wealth) is to have an expensive car.
Naturally there are expensive cars and then there are really expensive cars which for me is cars starting at US$2 Million + like the Pagani or Bugatti.. lesser mortals have to put up with a Rolls Royce or a Bentley which are fine everyday cars, you cannot really judge people here by their cars unless it is in the US$2 Million + bracket, it is not unknown for people here to live in a dump or decidedly middle class housing and have a Ferrari or two.
One of the things that sets the Bentayga apart is is that it is quite common and it comes in a very wide variety of colours which I will showcase below.
The market for luxury SUV’s is huge in Hong Kong and this is perhaps my favourite even more so than the Mercedes Benz AMG G63 G Wagen or the Lamborghini Urus and I am really not a fan of the Rolls Royce Cullinan!!.
The white model in the last image is the 2020 Bentley Bentayga, there are just a few cosmetic changes in 4 years which shows they pretty much got it right first time!
