Land Rover - AM 7328

April 7th 2020 | 13 Land Rovers I have photographed on the streets of Hong Kong

Land Rover | Range Rover cars in Hong Kong

This is about Land Rovers, the Range Rover cars will be covered at a later date.

Some of them are a little offbeat as you can see by the way they have been customised.

I have always liked Land Rovers more than Range Rovers mainly because they look odd and seem totally wasted in a place like Hong Kong but their numbers speak volumes for their popularity, they absolutely have cult status.

Hong Kong is green and hilly but we have very little “off road” land where a Land Rover would be deemed practical and honestly, even out in the sticks the quality of road surfaces is pretty decent, pot holes are fixed very quickly here.

We do have a lot of rain in the summer but for 7 months of the year we basically have no rain, landslides are basically a thing of the past but I guess they are pretty useful in a typhoon. In short there is no compelling reason to own a Land Rover (Bomb Squad aside) but they do look the part in the rugged Hong Kong countryside.

I do like this one used by the Bomb Squad of the Hong Kong Police!

You would be amazed at how many times I have seen this vehicle on the Streets of Hong Kong, we still have a problem with unexploded WW2 bombs! they are found rather frequently on construction sites all over Hong Kong.

I filched this directly from the Land Rover site who do wax lyrical very well when it comes to selling the Land Rover.

Why Buy a Land Rover?
Top Reasons To Buy a Land Rover

When thinking of an SUV to buy your only thought should be a Land Rover. If you are looking for a reliable, stylish, off-road capable and fun car to drive then you need to be thinking of Land Rover models. Land Rover has plenty of better features than other manufacturers out there. These features include practicality, out of the box off-road abilities, style factor, ease of maintenance, adventure, safety and lack of depreciation and many more.

1. Practicality

Land Rover is known to be an all purpose vehicle. They can be used for almost anything you put them through. The rear interior space leaves you the owner with an unlimited amount of choices. It can hold your five dogs all the way to a 50 gallon jug of water. You decide.

2. Off-Road Abilities

Land Rover was made on the thought of being an off-road vehicle and they made one of the best. Land Rover owners can literally take it almost anywhere, mud, wet grass, snow and heavy rain. Off-Road is the heart of any Land Rover vehicle. See for yourself.

3. Style Factor

One major reason why people buy Land Rovers is because of the style factor and it is no surprise. Anyone who has experienced a Land Rover from the interior to exterior can vouch that it is in the top of its class when it comes to styling.

So there you go, no further explanation needed.

The main competition for a Land Rover here would probably be the G Wagen by Mercedes Benz, particularly the AMG G63 version which is awesome, I would simply have both of them!!
