Our Marine Police do like to show off in our Harbour, free Tai Chi lessons daily on TST Promenade near the Star Ferry Kowloon and a Tour Group enjoys Hong Kong
When a lease expires on a shop in and around TST, Kowloon it takes about 5 minutes for the facade to be completely covered in Realtor posters all claiming to be the exclusive rep of the landlord. Very colourful and very over the top.
In some districts in Hong Kong retail rentals have increased between 350% to 700% since 2003... one wishes one could go back in time.
A couple of times a day some of the faster boats belonging to the Marine Police zip through the Harbour in what I presume is a display of macho.
My excuse for not running, going to the gym or joining a free Tai Chi class is simply because I do a considerable amount of walking most days.. I also admit that I do not understand Tai Chi other than it is slow motion Kung Fu, perhaps more to the point I have no desire to look like a complete muppet that early in the morning.
For those that are interested, the little chap in white, rigged out with a microphone seems to take classes everyday (free) in front of the Museum of Art on TST Promenade in Kowloon from 8am - 9am
The sign is a bit optimistic given they are just about to walk along the Avenue of Stars which hardly qualifies for an amazing moment... still they all seemed to be enjoying themselves and with a view like that, why not.
I am a confirmed Porsche freak and I get a bit misty eyed when I see this model. WOW.
... my, my this chap is fit, he does not have any wobbly bits... now here is something to put you off your cornflakes, me in a pair of purple shorts, ankle socks, fluorescent trainers and a sweatband, minus a shirt, trust me, this is NOT an image you want in your head!
.... and no, I do NOT have a thing for women's hair. I was on a Tram and this young Asian lady was sat in front of me so I zoomed in on the back of her head and this is the rather interesting image I got. As she was Asian I assume the colour was from a bottle.
The brown building is the Intercontinental Hotel, next to it is a giant hole which will eventually turn into a mega shopping mall / Hotel... on this site used to stand the New World Centre which was actually a pretty decent mall but it would appear not decent or big enough to they knocked it down.
