The weekend warriors flocking to the Peak, Hong Kongus Concretus and a lovely Indian Rubber Tree
I did not expect to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on a visit to Tai O - this scene is right up there with catching an alien using your toilet.
Hong Kongers just love to walk around the Peak on a weekend and I am always amused by the fact that they feel the need dress up in branded hiking gear to walk on a tarmac road / path - I often see people using walking poles like ski's and the worst sight ... people sucking water through tubes attached to water bottles in their rucksacks... this is NOT a challenging walk / hike.
Geologists from around the world flock to Hong Kong to study this famous Hong Kong rock - Hong Kongus Concretus, after 40 years it looks natural!
A lovely Indian Rubber tree and no doubt home to a gazillion snakes, spiders and bugs
You can just about see the railings at my spot at the Peak - this is my favourite place on the planet and you get what is quite simply the greatest city view in the world.
The apartment blocks in the foreground are called "The Belchers" (really!) and in the distance the port area at Kwai Chung
Incense burning at the Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple, it can be a tad overwhelming at times
