That very funny sign at the Nan Lian Garden, Pearl the fat vampire from Blade lives in Hong Kong and a typical Fire Station
Many people struggle to make a living in Hong Kong... current minimum wage is HK$30 per hour (about US$3.75) but I imagine many people earn less. Every day on the streets when I see these folk I count my blessings.
This is the funny sign below the evil sea horse tree in the Nan Lian Garden at Diamond Hill in Kowloon
Before you ask, this is not me before I went on a diet, this is Pearl one of the most disgusting and memorable movie characters ever... he is a vampire.
A fairly typical fire station located at the back of the Immigration Department in North Wanchai... these guys do a terrific job in very difficult circumstances.
I have this great setting on my Olympus which essentially stops motion dead in it's tracks with no blurring, you have to love these new fangled camera's as trying to do this manually means that more often than not (unless you are a pro) you are not going to get the shot
... and who doesn't like taking images of beautiful flowers
Actual angling with rods and reels has become quite popular here although you are not going to break any records catching fish in our harbour, it is nice to see people really get into this peaceful and thought provoking pastime.
I do personal walking tours around Hong Kong, I am on the streets every day and I have a somewhat interesting perspective of this wonderful city I have called my home for 37 years. My private walking tours are perfect for visitors who want a detailed overview of Hong Kong prior to exploring on their own and for people who are only here for a day or two who want to make the most of their limited time here.
Many clients book me for their first full day in Hong Kong, they get to see the best that Hong Kong has to offer + a crash course on our wonderful public transport system and then they go exploring for the rest of their stay armed with step by step instructions and recommendations from me....
I am available at very short notice, I get many last minute bookings and may well be available even if you arrive in Hong Kong without making plans! so please check my calendar, if it says I am free then I am available to do a tour!! Simply send me a message for a prompt reply
...oh, and if you book a tour then you are booking a tour with me, I do not employ other guides.
