March of the ants, up close and personal with an apartment block in Tung Chung and Armani for babies.. whatever next!
This is fast becoming one of my favourite images
Not many people wave back
You can get some great images of the airport
Given the elevation a mystical (!) Buddha is always a possibility
It has been very wet this week and we took the chance yesterday to go to the Giant Buddha out near the airport on Lantau Island.. cloud level was very low which meant that seeing the Giant Buddha at the bottom of the steps was not possible but when we climbed the 263 steps then this is what we saw... we were in the clouds and the Buddha looked very mystical.
Despite the weather there was a 2 hour queue to get on the cable car so we took the no. 23 bus up (no queue, 30 minutes travel time) and went down on the cable car, for half the journey we could see nothing and it was a weird feeling being in the clouds!
Ants on the march
You could do a Nat Geo Wild special at the Peak these days, the more I go into the "jungle" the more I find... like these ants on the move
Up close and personal
Private apartments in Tung Chung near the airport
Obsessed wih status and money
Hong Konger's can be just a bit obsessed with status and money but for me this is a new low.
Perfect for babies
The Maybach is the perfect car for Armani clad babies....
Just lovely
Spotted these next to the gift shop at the base of the steps leading to the Giant Buddha, no idea what they are but they certainly attracted a gaggle of camera toting tourists.
