Do not hang around the US Consulate, another hairy caterpillar at the Peak and another view of Government House after it's recent paint job
4pm on a beautiful sunny day, this is the view from my balcony, untouched raw images, it was so clear I could see islands 25+ miles away which is amazing.. it is a pity we do not have clear weather like this year round but I will take it when it happens!
The security guard in the image actually came running up the path to tell me to stop taking photo's so I subjected him to the death stare (which did not work!) they get more than a little twitchy at the US Consulate if you get your camera out.
We have over 260+ species of butterflies in Hong Kong so it stands to reason we must have a vampire butterfly and this is what it looks like before it shape shifts.
Government House is where our Chief Executive lives and where all the old British Governors used to live, it looks smashing on a lovely summers day.
The Ladies Market is full of cheap tat, everyone knows that but that is not the point, it is crowded and noisy but very atmospheric and great for people watching and listening to the chatter between stall holders and potential buyers. Open from noon until about 11.30pm it is well worth a visit.
I cannot make my mind up about this Range Rover, it is very popular here but somehow the roof is just too low and looks a bit silly from certain angles... if I was a gazillionaire I would have one in my stable so to speak
The Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple is one of the most photogenic places in Hong Kong - just do it!
