The queue at the Chanel store on Canton Road, TST in Kowloon, up close and personal at Jardine House and our very safe subways
We know how to queue in Hong Kong, it really is an art form... this image was taken at Tsing Yi and it shows local people queueing for the free morning newspapers.
This is the Chanel store on Canton Road, TST in Kowloon, there is a queue 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year at this store and it has been like this for over 2 years, whenever I pass by there are 30+ people in the line and if you look inside the store is is jam packed. Who are these people? why Mainland Chinese tourists of course.
Jardine House in Central on Hong Kong Island is one of the most photogenic buildings in Hong Kong, it also has the most interesting moniker - the building of a 1,000 a.sholes
In Hong Kong a subway is an underground passage and NOT the name for the train / underground system (our fabled MTR) confusing right! anyway our subways are clean and very safe day or night and the vast majority are graffiti free - this image was taken at 4pm in the afternoon at Ngau Tai Kok, a somewhat rundown neighbourhood in Kowloon.
I love walking around the older and more rundown neighbourhoods in Hong Kong, character by the bucketful and a reminder that there is a huge gap between the rich and the poor in Hong Kong - this is another public housing estate in Ngau Tai Kok in Kowloon.
