I love the fact that Hong Kong is one of the safest cities in the World, I have never once felt threatened or felt that my personal safety was going to be compromised and that is a big deal.
A lot of people make an issue out of pickpocketing in Hong Kong yet I hardly think that 1,500+ cases in 2012 (roughly the same in 2011!) is a serious problem when you consider we have a population of 7.1 million and we had 48 million visitors in 2012!
Incredibly we have not had an armed robbery with a gun for over 3 years!
