Kid Friendly Tours in Hong Kong - Private Tours by Jamie, a long term HK Resident

Hello, I'm Jamie. 46 years living in Hong Kong - How local do you want to get?

Award Winning Private Tours in amazing Hong Kong, former British Colony from 1841 - 1997

My premium private tours of Hong Kong are perfect for kids of all ages, 11% of my tours are with families with kids under the age of 16. I am a parent (although my youngest of 3 boys is 18!) and I am quite familiar with interacting with kids of all ages (and their parents!) - Hong Kong is very kid friendly and we have attractions such as Disneyland and Ocean Park but for those of you only here for a day or two then it is my job to give you a memorable, kid friendly tour of Hong Kong... Oh, did I mention that kids under 16 are free of charge at the time of booking... you would be amazed at how many tours I have done where there have been 3 or 4 kids under 16!

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - A pretty normal mix of kids on my tours! here they are enjoying the view at my spot at the Peak and they took a lot of their own images.... meet Taylor, Madeleine and Georgette

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - Another pretty normal mix of kids on my tours! here they are enjoying the view at my spot at the Peak and selfies were the order of the day.... meet Jen, Jared, Kennedy, Brooklyn, Cole and Bailey from Arizona.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - .......and sometimes I do tours with young adults(!) under 16 without their parents or guardians in tow! kids of all ages are always amazed at the view from my spot at the Peak.. Jennifer and Sidney (both 15) certainly were and this is one of the best spots in the world to take selfies to post on Instagram and such.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - Meet Kelvin, Marion and the kids at my spot at the Peak, we had a blast on our private tour of Hong Kong.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - Meet the Guerzons from the USA, three generations of them admiring the wonderful view from my spot at the Peak.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - For kids who love Disney we can go and see gold Mickey Mouse, 24k pure gold weighing about 23lbs, so pretty darn heavy.... and worth about US$470,000 in case you are wondering.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - One of my favourite images, I call it the deaths head caterpillar (for obvious reasons)... pretty scary huh! and kids love bugs...

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - There is just something about going on a ferry that appeals to everyone and they do not come anymore iconic than the Star Ferry in Hong Kong, it is magnificent. we have a beautiful harbour and the views are well, indescribable and we will go on the ferry, kids love it!

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - So here's the thing, I love milkshakes and kids love milkshakes and the best ones in Hong Kong can be had in the Peninsula Hotel, TST, Kowloon, they are amazing and I would recommend a quick stop there if we are in the area, oh, and order a plate of french fries that perfectly compliment the milkshake.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - ...of course there are those that would like their kids to tuck into some traditional Hong Kong street food and naturally that can be arranged as well on your private tour of Hong Kong..... although I personally think even kids will baulk at trying pig guts and chicken feet with snake soup for a tasty starter!

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - This is simply the most magnificent city view in the world today period. I call it my spot at the Peak and I try my best and do this every day..... trust me, kids love this spot and love to take selfies

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - One of my favourite places to visit in Hong Kong and kids love doing this as well - the Giant Buddha and the Po Lin Monastery situated on Lantau Island.

This place is just fabulous and well worth the effort, did I mention that there are 268 steps to the top?!...... one of the best things about going here is the awesome 25 minute cable car ride through the mountains.... brilliant.

... of I forgot, cows,  lots of cows - herds of wild (but friendly) cows often tramp around the area near to the statue and the selfie opportunities are too hard to resist.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - ....and 15 minutes from the Giant Buddha is the absolutely awesome Tai O Fishing Village and again another one of my favourite places to visit and it is absolutely kid friendly as well... if you combine it with the Buddha it makes for a great day out.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - The Pagani Zonda, aka the Batmobile and one of the worlds most awesome hypercars.... I find that kids of all ages like fancy cars and we have an abundance of them... I have taken well over 60,000 images of cars in Hong Kong, it's a bit of a hobby and most tours you will always see plenty of fancy cars.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - The Aqua Luna II and another jolly nice way to see Hong Kong, I have to say it is rather lovely and you guessed it, kids love to go on it - the popular cruise is the 7.30pm cruise which perfectly matches up with the Symphony of Lights Laser Light Show which starts at 8pm daily.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - The Markets - and who wouldn't love to visit the Yuen Po Bird Market.... a very interesting place and amazingly kid friendly, there are lots of markets in the same area - as well as the Bird Market.... Goldfish Market, Flower Market, Ladies Market and Mong Kok wet market.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - The Markets - the Goldfish Market is so much more than goldfish these days, they have dogs, cats, alligator snapper turtles and pretty much every creature known to man, oh and did I mention the not so gold and not so fishy scorpions??? great fun for kids.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - The Markets - Our wet markets are amazing and a real treat for kids of any age although sometimes there is a bit of the ugh factor! however they can also be seen as a real cultural learning experience for people who primarily shop in a supermarket.

Kid Friendly Tours Hong Kong - The Markets - and all tours with kids should include a visit to the Ladies Market in Mong Kok, it has "stuff" by the truck load and is an Aladdins Cave for young folk... bargaining is essential and prices are kid friendly as well.

I do private walking tours around Hong Kong, I am on the streets every day and I have a somewhat interesting perspective of this wonderful city I have called my home for 46 years. My private walking tours are perfect for visitors who want a detailed overview of Hong Kong prior to exploring on their own and for people who are only here for a day or two who want to make the most of their limited time here.

Many clients book me for their first full day in Hong Kong, they get to see the best that Hong Kong has to offer + a crash course on our wonderful public transport system and then they go exploring for the rest of their stay armed with step by step instructions and recommendations from me....

I am available at very short notice, I get many last minute bookings and may well be available even if you arrive in Hong Kong without making plans! so please check my calendar, simply send me a message for a prompt reply.

I also offer a candid and very personal view of what it is like to live in Hong Kong for well over 4 decades.

...oh, and if you book a tour then you are booking a tour with me, I do not employ other guides, so explore this great city with one of the best tour guides in Hong Kong.
