The Goldfish Market in Hong Kong

The Murray House Hotel conversion, an amazing Lamborghini supercar and a pile of fag butts

The goldfish statue gives a hint that the Goldfish Market lurks nearby on Fa Yuen Street, I often think that using the term "market" for this place is just plain wrong, essentially it is a street with a small bunch of shops selling goldfish and other fish along with supplies.

Over the years a lot of the pet fish stores have gone the way of the dinosaur to be replaced by regular pet stores selling dogs, cats, rabbits and assorted reptiles, you can basically walk the "market" in under 8 minutes so I do not think it is worth a trip unless you are in the area. - go here for all of my images of the Goldfish Market

I have to say that Murray House on Garden Road has always been one of the more interesting Government buildings in Hong Kong and it is currently undergoing renovation to convert it into a Hotel which given the location in the Central Business District should be a resounding success. - go here for all of my images of buildings in Central

Since I was a kid I have been a huge fan of Lamborghini's, they are so over the top but in my eyes an object of beauty. Simply AMAZING!! - go here for all of my Lamborghini car images in Hong Kong

The number of smokers in Hong Kong has reduced dramatically over the years so images like this are quite rare these days. - go here for all of my favourite Hong Kong images

The view from our almost 16 year old's school....

I do private walking tours around Hong Kong, I am on the streets every day and I have a somewhat interesting perspective of this wonderful city I have called my home for 40+ years. My private walking tours are perfect for visitors who want a detailed overview of Hong Kong prior to exploring on their own and for people who are only here for a day or two who want to make the most of their limited time here.

Many clients book me for their first full day in Hong Kong, they get to see the best that Hong Kong has to offer + a crash course on our wonderful public transport system and then they go exploring for the rest of their stay armed with step by step instructions and recommendations from me....

I am available at very short notice, I get many last minute bookings and may well be available even if you arrive in Hong Kong without making plans! so please check my calendar, simply send me a message for a prompt reply.

I also offer a candid and very personal view of what it is like to live in Hong Kong for over 4 decades.

...oh, and if you book a tour then you are booking a tour with me, I do not employ other guides, so explore this great city with one of the best tour guides in Hong Kong.

All images taken with a Sony RX 1r camera - it produces amazing images!
