Premium Private Local Tours | Mainland Chinese Tourists

The famous sculpture at the Hotel Conrad at Admiralty, the Police chewing the fat (like everyone else!) and the Italian Tomato cake shop.

Blocking access to the 7 - 11 store

The big news in Hong Kong in the past week has been about protesters in Hong Kong shouting racist (!) slogans telling Mainland Chinese Tourists visiting Hong Kong to go home - like many people I am somewhat bemused and amused in equal parts as to why a major tourist destination like Hong Kong should have issues with visitors coming to Hong Kong.

It is a complex issue and the Hong Kong Government must take some responsibility in allowing such a large influx of visitors with seemingly no regard to the infrastructure in place.. in essence we had 16 million visitors visit Hong Kong in 2003 and last year 55 million visitors with almost 42 million of them from Mainland China.

Naturally this is causing problems... and really the only issue is the sheer volume of visitors from Mainland China and for many people living here it would appear that their lack of manners (or civilised behaviour) is the problem.

Yes, I do witness "events" every day that would make your toes curl but you have to factor in that in Mainland China this is simply normal behaviour.

The image above is one frame to late, the lady pushing the pushchair was actually with the other people and they had completely blocked access to the 7 - 11 store, it simply did not occur to them that this would cause a problem - to me they seem to be in their own little bubble.

I imagine these issues are going to get much, much worse.

Unless you are staying at the Hotel Conrad you probably will not get to see this famous sculpture of a cross section of Hong Kongers in the 1990's.

Police chew the fat in the streets just like everyone else

It really is just a fancy cake shop

Every visitor to Hong Kong needs to ride our fabulous "subway" system the MTR.

A very nice Mercedes Benz A45 Turbo with a very lucky number plate

A very old and dodgy building in Shek Kip Mei in Kowloon

I love wandering the streets of Hong Kong at night with my new camera
