Private Tour Hong Kong | Offbeat Attractions Yaumatei Police Station

A very fine example of an old Colonial building, easy to find, makes for some great images and did I mention that it is over the road from the Jade Market!

What an absolutely beautiful example of old Colonial Hong Kong, actually if you potter around Hong Kong you will find other Police Stations that look like this (Wanchai and Central) but these are now closed, this is still a proper functioning Police Station.

It is about a 10 minute walk from Yaumatei MTR Station so it is easy to get to and it has the added advantage of being over the road from the Jade Market so you can kill 2 birds with one stone.

Do what I do, walk under the arches and stop, listen and imagine Hong Kong 75 years ago!

On with the show

I often wonder why Police Stations but a steel cage around the air conditioners?
