The Ritz Carlton Rolls Royce and it's lucky number plate, one of the biggest Golden Orb spiders I have ever seen and making things happen
I always get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I see nice cruise ships docked at the Ocean Terminal, the Sun Princess was in town for a couple of days which makes a change from the last ship which was in town for about 17 hours..... we have a new cruise ship terminal at the site of the old airport, it's location is horrible compared to the Ocean Terminal.... anyway the ship has now gone on it's way to Vietnam
I love the number plate but as much as this is a super car and as much as the Ritz Carlton is a brilliant hotel, only the Peninsula Hotel has bragging rights on hotel transport to the airport - they have a fleet of Rolls Royce in british racing green colour... I have to admit that riding in this would be somewhat preferable than taking one of our awful taxi's.
Thanks to the eagle eyes of Alexis I was able to get a half decent photo of this monster Golden Orb Spider at the Peak, it was a whopper.
Meet Alec - he was here with his family for a day or so on the way to 2 weeks of sun in Thailand, Alec wanted to go to a specific store in Causeway Bay so I made it happen.
Hong Kong Island from in front of the Ritz Carlton Hotel
Not exactly a Michael Woolf moment but not bad for an amateur.
A completely random gold dragon statue near to the Happy Valley race track, it certainly brightens up the neighbourhood.
I could never figure out what the colourful square "logo" meant or represented, PCCW was formerly known as the Hong Kong Telephone Company, now it has been re - branded partially to PCCW - HKT.... confused yet?
Taken at the Nan Lian Garden in Diamond Hill, macro photography is beyond me until I get some fancy equipment.
I do personal walking tours around Hong Kong, I am on the streets every day and I have a somewhat interesting perspective of this wonderful city I have called my home for 37 years. My private walking tours are perfect for visitors who want a detailed overview of Hong Kong prior to exploring on their own and for people who are only here for a day or two who want to make the most of their limited time here.
Many clients book me for their first full day in Hong Kong, they get to see the best that Hong Kong has to offer + a crash course on our wonderful public transport system and then they go exploring for the rest of their stay armed with step by step instructions and recommendations from me....
I am available at very short notice, I get many last minute bookings and may well be available even if you arrive in Hong Kong without making plans! so please check my calendar, if it says I am free then I am available to do a tour!! Simply send me a message for a prompt reply
...oh, and if you book a tour then you are booking a tour with me, I do not employ other guides.
