An utterly pointless sign at Jardine House in Central

.... and talking of Jardine House, the Peninsula Hotel helicopter and the quite tasteless dragon fruit.

The world's most pointless sign

Sometimes I get writers block and this is one of those days, I can stare at the computer screen and nothing happens, hence the utterly pointless main "story" today.

I love Jardine House in Central, it has a colourful history and a rather colourful nickname (The Building of a 1,000 Ar.eholes!) but this sign is pretty meaningless.

It refers to the fact that the original exterior of Jardine House was made up of small tiles and they started falling off hence the building had to be re - cladded before someone got killed.. the building was completed in 1973 so it didn't take long for those tiles to start falling!

Riveting.

...and this is the cladding on Jardine House

The Peninsula Hotel helicopter, very expensive tours!

The dragon fruit - a very bland / boring fruit which is somewhat disappointing given it's interesting appearance

Nice Maybach - my ongoing quest is to photograph every number plate bearing a number only under 100 ( and no, I am not an anorak! )

The number of Commie flags flying around Hong Kong is increasing rapidly,

The exterior of One Peking on Peking Road in TST. Fascinating.

Another one of those creepy birds at the Bird Market in Mongkok.

The Nissan GTR - the only Japanese car worth having

Given that my brain is not functioning today it only seems right that I finish with another pointless sign in a train station - why bother? we know they have installed seats, it's nothing to brag about, they should be standard in all stations.

I do personal walking tours around Hong Kong, I am on the streets every day and I have a somewhat interesting perspective of this wonderful city I have called my home for 38 years. My private walking tours are perfect for visitors who want a detailed overview of Hong Kong prior to exploring on their own and for people who are only here for a day or two who want to make the most of their limited time here.

Many clients book me for their first full day in Hong Kong, they get to see the best that Hong Kong has to offer + a crash course on our wonderful public transport system and then they go exploring for the rest of their stay armed with step by step instructions and recommendations from me....

I am available at very short notice, I get many last minute bookings and may well be available even if you arrive in Hong Kong without making plans! so please check my calendar, if it says I am free then I am available to do a tour!! Simply send me a message for a prompt reply

...oh, and if you book a tour then you are booking a tour with me, I do not employ other guides.

Jamie's private walking tours - no ordinary experience
